Windows 10: How to lock the highlight color in Snipping Tool

Hello everyone,is there any way that I can fix the color used to highlight a section of the caption taken with Snipping Tool?At the moment, as I click the highlight-tool, each time a pop-up if that's what its called is shown,and you have to select the highlighting color.It would be nice if one could fix it to a preselected color, and not need to choose it each and every time you want to highlight something.I tried to look in the setting, but didn't manage to funs anything related to this.As I recall it, in Win 10 there was a was to select and fix the highlighting color.

We suggest that you run the
Troubleshooter for Windows apps and see if it helps with resolving your issue with the Snipping tool.

May we know from where are you highlighting the text for us to take a better look into your highlighting issue.

Running the suggested application (Troubleshooter) did not solve the problem. I cannot use the snipping tool for any text or image. I could before buying a new computer with native win 10 pre-installed. The same is true regarding highlighting text to copy
and paste. I cannot do that either. Please advise further.

Please try this:

Step 1:

Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

Click Reset,

Click Repair.

Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

Step 2:

Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

Step 3:

Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

• Windows Push Notifications System Service
  
• Windows Push Notifications User Service
