I have a Acer Predator about 3 years old, it has an RTX 2080, 9700K and 16 Gb of RAM. My pc froze and both my mouse and keyboard stopped working. To turn it off I had to unplug the darn thing. After I plugged it back in it would almost boot up for like 3 seconds and then it would keep trying again after every 5 seconds. I unplugged it again and then it was booting up but the screen wasn't on and then this continuous alarm came on and I had to shut it off after about 2 mins. Please help! Thank-you.

    :)

Extremely bizarre issue where headphones don't work after being unplugged and plugged back in

I was going through your suggestions, until I got to this part. When I got to step 16 on that list (create a new admin user account and see if the problem persists in that account), I tried that suggestion and created a test account. At first, when I plugged
in my headphones they weren't working (same as my original problem). But then when I unplugged them a Windows notification message popped up in the bottom right, saying something along the lines of "an audio device was disconnected". I plugged my headphones
back in and got the same kind of windows popup asking what type of device I just plugged in, and I selected the headphone option. After that, the headphones worked fine even when unplugged and plugged back in. Unfortunately, they are only working fine in that
alternate user account, and not in my normal one.

So I guess that means that the problem lies somewhere in my account settings, but how on earth do I fix it?

    Alarm not sounding

    Having the issue too!!!

    HTC Mozart T8698 (OS: 7.0.7392.0)

    • [unplugged] - let's wp7 alarm for 3-4 times. then the sound is gone, only the vibration is left working. I need to soft reset to fix the problem.
    • [plugged] - seem to have no problem. the Alarm sound is increasing to maximum as it goes
    • I also noticed the sound is lacking sometime. Some part of the alarm sound is missing during the alarming. It is like the alarming eating up the resource upto 100% and cannot play the alarm sound smoothly. - -" What is wrong with the alarming???
    To Microsoft,

This is just a basic function of Mobile Phone. Please fix it immediately. Don't make customer to wait until Mango update to fix it. Very bad experience for users.

Need to set audible alarm for being plugged in but not charging.

    Ummmmmmmmmm, yeah.

This all seems to be about battery monitoring. I don't see anything about an alarm that starts (and continues) if the laptop is plugged in and not charging. An audible tone that happens when the plug goes in or out (and hopefully when the power dies with the plug in) would work _if_and_only_if_ the tone _continues_ _sounding_ as long as the laptop is plugged in and not charging. None of the many battery monitors I have tried does anything like that, so if your pick actually does the thing I asked about in my original question does that I will be very, very surprised.

So my question now is: Do you specifically know of a specific setting in this (prima facie wrong) app that will specifically do the specific thing I am specifically asking about, which is to find an app that sounds, and continues to sound an alarm when my laptop is plugged in, but not charging, irrespective of the present battery level? Remember, I am not looking to be told about low battery alarms. Low battery alarms do not solve my problem.

Note, a power setting that darkens the screen when the laptop is not charging would work as well. (Again, low battery alarms, battery monitors, battery state displays, and so on are not what I am looking for here.)

Laptop freezes and goes back to normal when I unplug / plug it.: So yeah, my laptop often freezes even when I'm not using heavy programs and the only way to fix it is to either unplug it or plug it in. My laptop's a Dell G3 and it's still pretty new, 3-5 months old if I'm not mistaken, so idk why it does that....
