can't connect to printer wirelessly- code 45

Windows 10 cd drive not recognized Code 45 "currently this hardware device is not connected to the computer"

Original Title: Windows 10 cd drive not recognized.

CD drive was OK last time I used it. Drive is shown under Device Manager-View-Show hidden devices. However, Code 45 "currently this hardware device is not connected to the computer" also shows. Drive is still in situ and has not been removed.

Windows media player- I tried to burn a new CD. Dragged tracks to burn list, clicked burn and got the message "Connect a burner and restart".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PC is a Dell Dimension E520.

Running Windows 10

CD drive is TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653A.
