Windows 10: Random folder with gif inside in Downloads

I went to my Downloads folder and there was a folder named "windows-inputoplevelse" or "windows-inputexperience" in english, and in the folder there was a file called DanBurnGIF.gif, i dont know why it was there since i do not even know who Dan Burn is, nor have i downloaded that gif.I have scanned it with Malwarebytes, but nothing was detected. And before i found out i was resetting my default apps.Other than that i dont really have much more infomation other than i did get AdWare like 4 years ago, but Malwarebytes should have deleted it.And i did end up deleting it.

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


Suggestion:

1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
   x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
   NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.

  When you download a file does it gets saved in a Random Locations, apart from getting saved to a download folder?
  
• 
  In error, has the default download location in the system has been changed?
  

We would suggest you to set a Download folder to set as a default download location, the below steps will help you:

1) Press Windows Logo + E, it will go for Windows Explorer page.

2) Right click on the Downloads folder, from the
left panel.

3) Select Properties and then select Location tab.

4) Click on Restore Default button.

5) Select Apply and then Ok button.
