    OneDrive Inquiry. Files inside folders are lost.


    Asking about OneDrive. I used to have ~300Gb files from local HD to OneDrive. It was re-imaged successfully. However, after PC reformat, the files inside the folders were lost and I only have files outside of those folders remaining.

    There are ways to recover some missing files on Windows 10. For us to help you recover them, we'd like to ask a few things. Kindly answer the following:

    • Are you using an Administator account to search for the missing folders/files?
    • Are you able to find the missing files/folders using Search?
    • What specific files/folders are missing?

    To be on the safer, you may try copying the files from the old OneDrive folder to the newly created one rather than using the cut/paste feature and see if it stops downloading (sync) the content from your OneDrive account to the local PC.

    • Sign in to OneDrive.com from any browser.
