Windows 10: After the most recent Windows 11 update Adobe PDF Reader no longer give me preview on file...

After the most recent Windows 11 update Adobe PDF Reader no longer gives me a preview on File Explorer. This saves a lot of time scannig what's in teh file rather than double click to open to what they are. It was working fine last week, and after an update it dones't work anymore. Already done reinstalling, open with different programs, and enable Adobe PDF to be off, preview panel changes and fixing the software and etc.. no luck yet.

PDF file for Adobe Reader

I recently brought Lumia 520. I have download app Adobe Reader. I am also able to reader PDF downloaded from my Mai.

my problem is that now i want to add more file directly from my PC. I had copied some PDF in Documents.

Now that file are not appear in PDF list.

Also by browsing my phone I also not able to see file, which I have downloaded from my mails.

So please give hint where PDF from my mail is saved? How to add more PDF in Adobe reader.

 

Windows Search not indexing PDF files if using Adobe Reader


I thought I'd post this as an issue I came across today.

I noticed that the contents of PDF files were not showing up in Searches from File Explorer (and I guess Cortana).

I should be able to type in a word from a PDF file and, as long as the PDF file is in an indexed location, this should appear in search results.

It turns out that this is a problem which occurs when Adobe Reader is installed, apparently affecting x64 versions of Windows.

The search "iFilter" for PDFs gets broken, so the search doesn't index them. When looking in Indexing Options | Advanced | File Types, the entry for .pdf says "Registered iFilter is not found".

Note that it says it's fixed in Adobe Reader 11.04, but I'm using a later version of Adobe Reader and still had the problem in Windows 10 x64.

 

Adobe Releases Fix for PDF Security Flaw

Adobe has finally issued an update for its Acrobat Reader products. This patch updates Adobe Reader to version 8.1.1 and addresses several known issues, one of which is the PDF bug we reported here. Adobe recommends that all Adobe Reader 8 users apply this update.

• Close a potential security vulnerability on Windows XP computers that have Internet Explorer 7 installed (CVE-2007-5020); see the Adobe Security Bulletin (APSB07-18) concerning this issue
• Address several PDF forms-related issues
• Provide additional stability
