Windows 10: Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Adapters No Longer Appearing

I recently switched over to Windows 11 since it was announced that security updates would be ending soon for 10. Things operated without incident until rather recently, when I decided to try and setup a new printer, at which point I discovered that I not only couldn't connect to it, but that my Wi-Fi & Bluetooth settings options had disappeared entirely from my computer. I've been solely on Ethernet for some time for my connection, so it hasn't interrupted my day-to-day work, but I need these settings to connect other wireless devices to my system. USB Wi-Fi Adapter Disabling

Is it on Windows 8's compatibility list (check MS website- forgot link)?

I had an issue with one Wi-fi adapter and it wasn't listed as compatible- All was well when I swapped it out with one on the compatibility list

 

Virtual Wi-fi Adapter

Hi, I'm using my laptop as a second screen for my desktop. (by pressing win + p) For some reason, this feature is only available in Windows if your desktop has a wi-fi adapter. Funny thing is, that after I connect to my laptop with wi-fi, I can remove the adapter and it still works. I just managed to brake my adapter, so I was thinking if I can create a virtual wi-fi adapter somehow just to enable this option. Any suggestions?

Based on the information provided, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the modem is connected to a wired connection or to a working telephone jack, directly or through the router.

2. Go to Start and select Start / Shutdown> Restart.

3. Once the device is restarted, log in to Windows.

4. Go to Start and select Settings> Network and Internet.

5. Select Airplane mode and make sure Airplane mode is set to Off.

• If the Wi-Fi setting is not yet displayed: go to Solution 2.

• If the Wi-Fi settings are displayed: select Wi-Fi and make sure that Wi-Fi is set to On and that the network name appears in the list of available wireless networks. Choose your network and select Connect.

Installing the latest updates can help correct many common Wi-Fi connection problems, but you'll need to be connected to the Internet to download the updates.

The Wi-Fi network may be disabled in Device Manager:

1. Select the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, and in the search results, select Device Manager.

2. Select the arrow next to Network Adapters to expand the list of adapters and check if the Marvell AVASTAR Network Driver is listed.
