Windows 10: how do i put my screen to fullscreen without it going back to aspect ratio this problem had...

when I change from Aspect Ratio to Full screen. And I press apply then accept. It just goes back. Don't know what to do i have tried everything

DirectX 12 Exclusive Fullscreen with Different Aspect Ratio

Since Exclusive Fullscreen functionality is not a feature in DirectX 12, this creates a problem when playing games in a different Aspect Ratio than the display. I have a 16:9 Display, but I like to play games at 21:9 in Fullscreen Mode. DirectX 12 only allows the use of a different Aspect Ratio in Windowed Mode, which leaves my desktop visible in the background. We need a fix that will create the Letterbox black bars for different Aspect Ratios when playing in Borderless Window Mode.

 

PROBLEM WITH ASPECT RATIO IN GAMES

I've got this problem with the last major Windows update. Every time I try to launch a game with a 4:3 aspect ratio, the game just stretches to my whole screen instead of being normal 4:3 with the black bars on the sides (this occurs only in fullscreen,
if I launch a game in windowed mode - it's all normal)

I tried this with a several games now, and results are the same.

I have a 16:9 screen with the resolution of 1600x900, and because of my low pc specs, I'm playing some of the games in 4:3 aspect ratio. But since the last major Windows update I can't really do it, and that's really buggin me out.

Does anyone, by chance, have the same problem?

I understand your concern, make sure you are logged in as admin. After that please follow the steps below and check the aspect ratio.

• 
  Right click on Desktop.
  
• 
  Click on Personalize.
  
• 
  Advanced display settings,
  
• 
  Display Adapter properties
  
• 
  Monitor>scaling>Change Aspect Ratio.
