Windows 10: Windows 11 troubleshooting needed. Freezing and BSODs within 1-10 minutes of booting.

Rebuilt my pc: New MB, GPU, CPU, PSU, and RAM. After posting and handling the new parts fine, the next day I cloned the pc to a new drive. This was so I could then update as I had been running on a very outdated Windows 11. After updating to 24h2 I started noticing this problem. I uninstalled the update, but the problem persisted. I then clean installed Windows 11. Same problem. I have run memory checks, event viewer, bluescreenviewer, and storage device checks. I have tried to make sure that all of my drivers are up to date. Windows 7 freezes for 1 minute

My custom built rig has lately, in the past 2 months or so, been having these spits of freezing. It will freeze for exactly 1 minute: always 1 minute, every time. I can time it down to the second.

The weird thing is that when it freezes, some programs seem to be immune to it. When playing a full screen game, video and audio will freeze (though not always at the same time, sometimes one or the other will lag). Playing a 3D game in windowed mode seems to be immune to it however. Windows explorer and Firefox always seems to freeze, but Windows Messenger (including video call) will work as normal even while everything else is frozen. After a minute has passed, everything is back to normal. It happens at irregular intervals: sometimes it will happen then happen again 30 seconds later, and sometimes I can go hours without the problem.

It's a bit bizarre and I'm not sure what is causing it. The fact that it is always exactly 1 minute makes me think it's some dumb program checking for an update or something, but I can't pin it down.

Any ideas appreciated.

 

Windows 11 freezes while booting

Hello, I have a problem with my windows 11.

Sometimes my PC will freeze while boot, it only freezes if I:

• Turn on the PC
  
• Reset PC
  
• Reboot / Restart PC
  
• Restart for update
  
• Enter advance / Recovery mode
  

and how can I solve this problem because I'm resetting this PC. if this problem occurs during the process of course it will be damaged, as well as while updating windows.

Is there any solution for this issue?, i Will appreciate your suggestion.

BSOD within 1 min of every boot, error PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

As the bsod happens very quickly you are in a good position to troubleshoot with the clean boot process. A clean boot starts with a minimum set of drivers and if you can get a stable system you can add back in processes until the bsod starts again. This might help you track down the culprit.

Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts

Do part one and see if you can run the PC without a bsod. If you can then proceed to part two picking it up at step 11.
