Windows 10: How do I get rid of the useless junk on the lock screen

Why does Microsoft do this garbage. How do we remove all the **** Microsoft puts on the lock screen. ? Its erasing our necessary data. Microsoft Please stop.help soonest

How do I get rid of the useless junk on the lock screen asking if I have seen the news and do I want to take a quiz?

I want this rubbish gone, if possible, as it ruins look of lock screen. And I hate being nagged for useless junk - a news quiz!?!? Seriously?

Taskbar News notifications are off. There appears to be no setting for this anywhere. Please let me get rid of this nonsense?

 

Getting rid of Lock Screen?

No need to mess with the registry yourself.

You can use the .reg from from step 4 in Option 5 of the tutorial below to disable require sign-in on wakeup.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving the issue.

Setting the timeout for Lock Screen

• Press Windows + I and select personalization.
  
• Select Lock screen.
  
  
• Select the Screen Timeout setting.
  
• Select the time of timeout you need and check.
