Windows 10: Climpchamp AV1 support in 2025 the Windows 11 year?

How can I make Clipchamp, the piece of software that is, support AV1 in 2025: The year of the Windows 11 PC refresh?This year I got a Windows PC after a long time of dwelling on macOS and was told that this is the free "iMovie" like software from Windows. But how is there still no AV1 support? While Nvidia Highlights already recommends you to choose AV1 for recording? How can you ask money for this and recommend it for creators the Brand Kit functionality when it just fails on the most crucial part: support of various codec types.Clipchamp version: 04/12/2024Edition: Windows 11 Home Versio

Year 2025 question

The end date is purely for legal reasons. No company would guarantee supporting an OS in perpetuity as that would be commercial suicide i.e. if MS could not afford to keep supporting it post 2025, they would be exposed to lawsuits.

What will happen post 2025 is they continue to support W10 on a rolling annual basis or extend the support end date e.g. for further five years.
There will be no Windows 11.

I hope so.. I just upgraded to Windows 10 Pro last year.. so just 4 more years of support is sad for me...
considering Win10 is still have broken... lol

 

clipchamp doesnt support AV1 Codec?

"At the moment, AV1 is supported by the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox." but when i go to firefox it says "it looks like your browser is not supported,top use clipchamp make sure you're using the latest version of chrome or edge"

also AV1 came out in 2018 according to this FAQ | MPEG-4 vs AVC/H.264 vs MP4 difference | Elecard: Video Compression Guru

and using a 3rd party online convertor is not what a paying customer of clipchamp and microsoft windows 11 should be doing. everything should be redy to go. this is a MP4 file with a 2018 AV1 codec not a 1999 mp4 codec.

i am also not getting a answer from tech support regarding what codecs clipchamp uses.
