After the last update 24h2 the gp load is 0% while I'm sitting in applications or on the desktop.Because of this, the noise of the throttles is unpleasant. As soon as I load something even a couple of percent, the sound immediately disappears

Intel Updates Core 2 Quad Q9550 to E-0 Stepping

We continue our Monday news list with another Intel story that brings to our attention information concerning the company and more specificly its 2.83GHz Core 2 Quad Q9550 chips that will move from the current C-1 to the newer E-0 stepping. The updated chips will start selling on August 22nd, featuring the following changes:

New SSpec and MM numbers for the converting products

CPUID will change from 0x10677 to 0x1067A

Package change to Halide free package

Apart from that, the new stepping CPUs will not include any other changes. Of course, like most new stepping parts a BIOS update will be needed.

E51 and GPS Receiver Holux M-241

Hi,

i have buy me a new GPS Receiver because my older GPS Mouse is broken (was a cheap Polaris from Ebay, but it was works very fine up to 4 km/h) . Now i have buy an Holux M-241, nice thing, but i have trouble for connect it with my Nokia E51.

The M-241 connects with the Phone (in Bluetooth Connection it is listed, and i authorized it with the Code for connect automatically. Well... then i Starts Nokia Sports Tracker , nothing happens, then i start GPS System Application , it say me that GPS Receiver
not found... i try Nokia Maps, and the same, nothing, then i uninstall Nokia Sports Tracker, and install it new, nothing....

Now i have try the Tracking Software from GPSED.com, it finds the Holux M-241 and get a GPS signal , now i'm aksing because this software on my E51 works with the M-241 and all other software didn't it. :-(

Firmware of my Holux M-241 ist the newest? 1.12, Firmware of my E51 is 200.34.36.

I hear that it exists Firmware in version 200.34.38 , but i didn't find link for download it. Perhaps an Firmware Update helps me ?

Or have one from one any Tipps for what i can do it so the Holux M-241 works with my E51.

Hmm. Perhaps Problem is, that GPSED.com Tracking Software is a Java Application, and all other my Other Software is Symbian Software?

GIGABYTE is aware of certain media outfits casting doubt over the quality of Power Supply models GP-P850GM and GP-P750GM. GIGABYTE takes pride in the design and quality of our products and as such, takes reports of this manner extremely seriously and therefore would like to address the reported potential issues as follows: 1. For desktop PC systems, there can occasionally be instances where the peak wattage can exceed the intended usage range. During such instances, the GIGABYTE GP-P850GM / GP-P750GM model power supplies include the industry standard built-in safety feature “Over Power Protection” (OPP). The OPP safety feature is designed to shut down the unit when the power load exceeds the wattage the unit was designed to operate within. The OPP was set to 120% to 150%, 1020W~1300W for GP-P850GM, and 900W~1125W for the GP-P750GM. 2. GIGABYTE, appreciates and takes into consideration any feedback and suggestions from our media partners and PC hardware professionals. We were made aware by third parties of concerns regarding potential issues of the GP-P850GM and GP-P750GM tripping at high wattages when tested via DC Electronic Load equipment for extended lengths of time repeatedly close to the 120% to 150% OPP trigger point. This level of extended testing could severely reduce the lifespan of the product and components of the GP-P850GM and GP-P750GM. 3. To address these potential issues raised by third parties, specifically, those discovered during their testing via DC Electronic Load equipment for extended lengths of time repeatedly close to the 120% to 150% OPP trigger point. GIGABYTE has made adjustments and lowered the OPP on GP-P850GM and GP-P750GM to the below values.

GP-P850GM- Adjusted OPP trigger point range from 120% ~ 150% to 110% ~ 120% Before: 1020W ~ 1300W After: 950W ~ 1050W

GP-P750GM- Adjusted OPP trigger point range from 120% ~ 150% to 110% ~ 120% Before: 900W ~ 1125W After: 825W ~ 925W

4. GIGABYTE highly values the confidence and trust all our customers have in our product quality and after sale services. GIGABYTE would like to stress the potential issues that were reported, only seemed to occur after very long time periods of extreme load testing via DC Electronic load equipment and would not be typical of any real world usage. 5. GIGABYTE GP-P850GM and GP-P750GM PSU’s included industry standard power protection designs OCP, OTP, OVP, OPP, UVP, and SCP. Safety certification from various countries to ensure safe and stable operation of your system.

6. To offer customers complete peace of mind, any serial number not listed in Appendix 1 are the amended OPP settings as listed in point 3.
