Windows 10: My computer is unable to open virus & Threat protection

My account says that actions are needed for virus and protection, when I go to open it, a blank white screen opens then closes.Not able to screenshot my windows version but Id be happy to paste it here. Windows 10 or provide my other information requiredMy computer also isn't able to open things like the calculator, cant tell if that's a related problem or not, and windows security doesn't open, as well as other apps like the microsoft store. Etc;

My virus & threat protection is not showing

I am writing to seek assistance with a problem related to Windows Virus and Threat Protection on my PC. Unfortunately, the feature has become invisible, and I am unable to access it.

Issue Details:

• Operating System: Windows 11
  
• Problem: Windows Security (Virus and Threat Protection) is not visible.
  

Steps Taken: I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Restarted my PC.
   
2. Checked Group Policy settings.
   
3. Reset Windows Security app.
   
4. Ran SFC and DISM commands.
   

However, the issue persists. I kindly request your guidance on resolving this matter. Could you please provide instructions or further steps to restore Windows Virus and Threat Protection?

 

Virus and Threat Protection Issue

When looking to run a virus scan on my computer, I'm met with an error that says "Virus and Threat Protection is Managed by your Organization." THis is a personal laptop though. Any suggestions?

As an alternative approach, you can allow that utility through the Controlled Folder Access section of WIndows 10 security . . .

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add Dell Data Vault to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent it from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently
