Windows 10: How do I change my user name? Windows 11. No option available in control panel and mystery...

Hi, how do I change my user name on my Windows 11 machine please? I've trawled around the net looking for an answer and only found frustrating replies to use options not available on my machine I hate Win 11 - reduced control from Win 7 and tears my hair out.I've gone onto control panel and onto my user but there is no option to change the name.I was never asked what I wanted my username to be and it has automatically used the first 5 letters of my email address.Why? Why do this and why no way to change it?I have only one account on the machine - it is labelled as an administrator account an

In Windows 10, if you hit the winkey +x, or just right click on the windows icon....your steps cannot be followed as there is NO control panel listed. I desperately need to change a user name, but no control panel. And mine
is local.

Change local user account name in Windows 10

Hello!

I've just reinstalled Win10 and created a second account for my wife. Unfortunately, the login names is the mail she's registered to Microsoft.

How can I change the name.

I've read an answer to same question suggesting following:

I don't have that option in Win10.
