How to save my Outlook folders

I suggested making subfolders on the USB with names that remind you of the source folder name so you could copy the pst files without any of them overwriting others. For example, one of your source folders had a name like WindowsOldOld so you could copy all the pst files from that folder into a subfolder on the USB that is called something similar to WindowsOldOld. Whilst it can hardly be called essential, it seems to me that having something to remind you where the files came from is likely to help you when you review those files for useful information after the faults are fixed.
You don't have to post the list at all. Does it look like a list of folder paths like this?"F:\MyDocuments\Business\OL\RSS.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\Business\OL\Refurb.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\Business\OL\Flora.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\Business\OL\MainOutlook.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\InfoSys\other\EasyBCD\NeoSmartRSS.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\Business\OL\Archive.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\Business\OL\Archive - Copy.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\Research\CheckingHP.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\Research\Raw data\CheckingHP.pst" "F:\MyDocuments\Support\2007\Bookings.pst"That sort of list is what you'd get from using CopyAsPath and is what I think you will find useful later on. But it's up to you. All the best, Denis

  3. How to login to root account in LMDE ?

    Ok ... fresh start.

Im doing something and well i have to edit a configuration file, which is read-only.

The whole folder is read only.

Plus if you're root it doesn't nag you about "not found" it is in "sbin/blabla", the root just executes even if it's in other folders.

See the point here, i want to use the console, but im left down and can't do anything, how am i supposed to learn if im not allowed to do anything ? That "step by step from babysitting mode up" is a way of learning that in my opinion is quite less effective for me, i wouldn't have figured out as much of the low level stuff.

Unexpected Folders Named UAContents and Templates Showing Up in MyDocuments Folder

Using ActiveSync 4.5, I opted to sync "Files" between my WM 6.5 device (HTC Touch Pro 2) and desktop PC (Win XP SP3 running Outlook 2003). Curiously, two folders are now showing up in the MyDocuments folder on my device, as well as in the designated sync
folder on my PC. They are named "Templates" and "UAContents." Clearly, these folders were created by my device. Whether or not their appearance is related to ActiveSync remains unclear. What is clear, however, is that they're
system folders because the UAContents folder is populated with files which appear to be related to SMS and MMS, both on my device and on my PC.

If, in fact, they are system folders/files, why do they reside in the MyDocuments folder on my device, instead of in an folder designated for application data? Should I delete them? If so, what's to prevent them from being recreated? They clearly don't belong
in the MyDocuments folder, nor should ActiveSync be synchronizing them with a folder on my PC.

Thank you in advance for any insight and/or feedback.

    Jim
