Windows 10: Windows OS Deprecation of time zone: Colombia Standard Time

Hello,Could you please verify for me if Microsoft has removed the: Colombia Standard Time time zone from its operating systems?If so, please let me know what Windows OSes this has been deprecated from and which are the first Windows OS version for each OS where it has been removed.Thank you in advance for your assistance!Mike

Time Zone

Hi Dean,

Try the classic “Date and Time” applet in the classic Control Panel as a workaround.

You can launch it via Control Panel or run timedate.cpl via the Run dialog.

Fluctuating Time Zone Setting

I would suggest you to check if the values for “set time automatically” and “set time zone automatically” under Date and Time settings are “ON”. If not, then suggest you to make the vale to “ON” and check for the status.

If the issue still persists, follow the steps provided below:

• Press Windows key + R, type services.msc and press Enter.
• Locate Windows Time from the list and double click on the service.
• In Genereal tab, set the Startup type to Automatic.
• Click on Apply and OK.

Unable to change computer time zone

I'm Louie, a Microsoft Community member and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. Hope you're doing well and safe there.

Please follow these steps to fix the issue:

1. Type in 'cmd' in search box. You'll see Command Prompt listed. Right-click and select Run as Administrator.

2. Type 'tzutil /l' to see a list of all time zones. Once you find your time zone, copy the description that is on the second line.

Example:

(UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada)

Central Standard Time <---- copy

3. Type 'tzutil /s "(paste the time zone here)"

Example:

tzutil /s "Central Standard Time" (make sure to include the quotations) then press ENTER.

4. Exit the Command Prompt and verify that the Timezone is correct.
