  1. XMP profile causing windows to crash

Hello,After encountering a blue screen error today for the first time in 2 years since owning this PC, my pc shut itself down and would not turn on for nearly 30 minutes. After 30 minutes it turned on, and then i was forced to reset my BIOS to its default settings in order to boot. Prior to todays random blue screen encounter, the XMP profile was enabled in my BIOS with no issues for the past 2 years. Now after i was forced to reset the BIOS, enabling XMP leads to Windows crashing and blue screening in an endless cycle trying to fix itself. It is only when XMP is disabled can i boot up Windows

    :)

Is memory worth tweaking outside of lowering its voltage from an XMP profile?

This is the RAM I'm running.

    DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200)
    • Timing 11-13-13-31
    • Cas Latency 11
    • Voltage 1.65V

Tried some different speeds/timing in the BIOS but in the end I've settled with just running it from an XMP profile and lowering the voltage by .1 to 1.55v. Then ran that through MemTest86 for one pass and it was stable.

Lowering pretty much any value in this pic outside of the Row Refresh Cycle Time results in instability or crashing when running at 2400 MHz. Thinking about just leaving it as it is(XMP @ 1.55v) as its pretty tedious when you go too low and have to short the pins on the motherboard...

Windows 11 Crashes Apparently Caused by Agent Ransack.

    Hi 20160217Windowsuser

Your Minidump files all just indicate RAM corruption no specific cause is listed and I do not even see Agent Ransack listed in the dump files.

It is very strange that software is causing the crashes, boot your PC into BIOS, do you have an XMP profile set on your RAM, if you do, disable that, set it to default and test if the problem still exists.

XMP profile causing windows to crash

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
