Windows 10: Microphone does not get detected on connecting headphones with aux cable

I have tried multiple headphones that connect via aux cable and for none of them I could find their microphone getting detected. How do I resolve this issue?Same headphones work in other systems. In fact, the same headphones work fine if I use a dongle and connect them via thunderbolt4 port. I have tried a lot of things to try and resolve the issue. Headset's Mic not working when connected to AUX?

Hello,

I have a JBL Live 500BT headset and the microphone works flawlessly when the headset is connected over bluetooth.

However, when connecting the headset through AUX with the 3.5mm jack, and confirming it's a headset when asked by Realtek, only the headphones work and Windows claims there is no sound input device.

It's not even working if i connect the headset to the PC's a microphone jack and set the device as a microphone device.

The AUX cable does have a secondary microphone but that one only works when the headset is connected to a phone.

Is it normal that a bluetooth headset's built-in microphone does not work when the AUX cable is used?

 

Headphones microphone not detected

Hi guys, my microphone worked well till someone changed some settings on my laptop and now idk how to change it back. I can hear in my headphones but the microphone is not detect. Only the laptop microphone works.... I have Steelseries arctis 3

Aux Cord Mic not detected by Windows 10

I recently bought a pair of wireless Zebronics headphones which came with a wire to connect it to the headphone port. Since the cable lacked a mic, I brought a new aux cord which had a in-line microphone to use. I connected it to the PC and the sound plays into the headphones, but Windows doesn't detect the in-line mic. There is no option to connect it in the Sound Settings and it only shows the default Realtek system microphone. No drivers were installed either. Both the headphones and the mic work perfectly on my phone but not on my PC. My PC also only has one headphone jack. What should I do?
