Windows 10: Windows 11 Graphics Setting Crash

Intel Core I9, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3090Every time I go to the Graphics Settings to change if a game will use the CPU or GPU, it just crashes. I dont know why, and when I tried checkingwhy it crashes, it just gives me no information at all. Since my device is a gaming laptop- that has armoury crate installed- I tried deleting armoury crate I heard somewhere that something in it just causes it to crash?. That didn't work either. I've also tried to check and restore corrupted files, but it ends up freezing. I really don't know why this happens, and it is beyon

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

 

Custom Driver : Intel HD Graphics & ATI Combo (Alpha) - by nIGHTmAYOR

according to laptop support page they do list an old downloadable driver for intel for windows 7 , weather this is related to there being several variants of that laptop or this laptop has switchable graphics i may just suggest you reset the bios and see if things change , if yes you may be able to apply step 2 , if not then apply step 4 and call it today , you are still better off being on the high performance gpu .

Out of curiosity can you take a snap shot from Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and click the “Graphics Settings” ?
