Windows 10: monitor goes black after 144hz refresh rate

hi I have an Asus G512li Rog and using it for about 3 yearseverything was ok with my laptop until 3 weeks ago. suddenly I understood when refresh rate switches to 144hz from 60hz after plugin, half of the monitor will goes black and starts flickeringthis problem is very annoying and I really don't know what is reasonit the lcd damaged? does deleting graphic cards and reinstalling them help? how about reinstalling windows? does anyone have any idea about this problem?

I have raised my refresh rate to 144Hz and my monitor went black and i cant access my pc except UEFI BIOS utility screen. Please help

 

Why does my refresh rate change when tabbing into a game from 144hz to 120hz?

The desktop refresh rate of the monitor (a samsung odyssey g7) is set to 144hz. When I tab into a game it changes from 144hz to 120hz. It seems to only be a fullscreen 1440p issue. 4k fullscreen does not change the refresh rate. neither does 1080p. The active resolution does change when tabbing into a game when it is 1440p 144hz. I have set the active resolution and display resolution of the monitor to 2560x1440 and when I tab into a game the screen goes black and the active resolution changes to 3840x2160 but the desktop resolution stays the same.

So I have had a 144hz monitor a few months now and I set it to run at 144hz when I first got it and it was fine, I notice today that it was only running 60Hz so I switched it over to 144Hz and my screen went black with a very thin line of picture at the very top of my monitor, I currently use a DP connection on a 1050Ti and have also tried HDMI into the GPU and it does the same thing, does anyone know why this is happening or have a fix for this as would very much like it back into 144Hz! I have tried installing and reinstalling the graphic drivers, I was attempting this on Windows 10 I then upgraded and done a factory wipe on the PC so everything was cleared, not just to try and fix it I did want to make the switch to windows 11 and wipe the pc to start again, but I have the same problem on Windows 11 with fresh drivers installed
