Windows 10: Problem with Wifi. No Wifi icon, no Wifi Networks showing

Sometimes when i turn my laptop On, when it starts, there is no Wifi logo, just the Airplane mode icon which is Off. Sometimes the Wifi logo is there, but shows no Networks/Wifis to connect to.So i do a few restarts until it then shows the Networks and i can connect to Wifi.But also sometimes while i have Wifi, it disconnects and says No Internet Connectionwhile the Wifi is good i test through my phone, or it doesn't show any Network to connect.I need help on this, because soon i have a Online Exam. If i don't fix this, i may be disqualified because it may disconnect just on that time.Pleas

Wifi Networks not showing

On my Laptop if I wanted to change the wifi connection I would always see a list of the available networks when I selected the Wifi icon on the task bar.
Since the last major update to Windows 10 I find that when I select the wifi icon I only see the current connection





To see other networks within range I have to open the 'Network settings' and choose 'Show available networks' - then they show up.





Does anyone have any explanation for this - or possibly a 'fix' to show them all from the taskbar again.

 

No WIFI icon in windows 10

So today when playing games, I noticed that the WIFI icon showed me that I am not connected to the internet, but I was still able to browse the internet. I used task manager to restart Explorer, and the WIFI icon disappeared completely. I tried disabling then enabling the driver, but nothing happened. What do I do to fix this problem? If I press the Network Icon in the action centre, it shows the network window, but it doesn't list the wifi networks.

 

Wifi problem

To setup a WiFi network you need:

• a WiFi router, and
  
• a WiFi network adapter for your computer.
  

Windows will probably install a driver for your computer's WiFi network adapter automatically. If it doesn't, no worries, download the driver from the WiFi adapter manufacturer's website. Once the driver has been installed, you're on to the next step.

Find the owner's guide for your WiFi router. It begins by showing you how to correctly setup a WiFi network. You'll have step-by-step instructions.

After you re-start your router, restart your computer. (I'm actually not sure if you need to restart your computer, but I'm superstitious. )

Now right-click on the little WiFi icon on the right side of your taskbar, choose the network name that you chose when you setup your network, and enter the network password that you chose when you setup your network. You're all done!
