In word, I want to freeze part of a document. I think I make a page break but It freezes the whole doc not just before the page break. I cannot find the place that says continuous page breaks.

Folder Freeze when trying to click on a Word Document. HELP

Hi there,

I came across a very weird bug/issue.

Use Case

Step 1: Create a word document on Desktop and name it TestFreeze

Step 2: Test that you can open the word document and write something like 'Testing freeze folder' ->save it

Step 3: Create a folder on Desktop and name it FreezeMe

Step 4: Copy 'TestFreeze' document in the 'FreezeMe' folder

Step 5: Open the 'FreezeMe' folder and select/click 'TestFreeze' document

Result: Folder Not Responding

Additional Information

I have run some tests and it does not matter:

• if it is a new or old Microsoft word file
• if the document has content in it or not
• if it has a long/short name or special characters
• it does not matter the folder or the name of the folder in which you put the file in

I also tried with an excel file and seems that I do not experience the same issue.

Microsoft version: 16.0.9330.2073

Windows version: 10.0.17134 Build 17134 with all updates up to date

If there is anything else I can provide to help sort this out, please do let me know.

Opened to any suggestions on how to fix this, as it is very frustrating.

Word Can not handle 3487 page document nor can acrobat

I have windows 10 ms word office 365 I made a txt file of my hard drive contents and its 3487 pages. Even notepad can not handle this very well.
I try to save the word doc to a acrobat doc and it freezes up. THis computer can handle 1gig photoshop files
So this is windows 10

tree /f /a > C:\Listing\textfile.txt maybe its the way this document is formatted but word freezes up when I try to save it as a pdf file and word take forever to search this document.
So this post did originally say 50 pages and I mixed things up I am sorry about this you guys. ! I guess it makes my post a bit useless. But still it seams word should not have a limit to the amount of text it can handle.

 

Help with document freezing when trying to open in Word Mobile

I tried to open a Word document in my pda which runs Windows Mobile 5 and OFfice mobile. The document is 1.15mb and only partially loads then freezes. The coloured square sits there not moving and the whole pda freezes. I end up having to do a soft
reset.

Is this document too big to open? I have no problems with any of my other documents and they are all saved in the Word 97 - 203 format.
