Windows 10: Third-Party Messaging Apps Sending Wrong Things

I am operating with a Galaxy S24 and Lenovo L13 laptop, as well as using the Google messaging app. I noticed an issue where on my computer-to-phone messaging app displays my phone screen on my computer to message from my computer it has started to send the same, wrong message every time I try to use the computer link. When I go back to using my phone, it fixes.This has occurred with two separate computer apps, Phone Link and MightyText, both having the same issue. Upon looking at the messages themselves on my phone, messages sent from my computer delivered wrong have an 'SMS' tag under the

Windows Mail and 3rd party messages

Please assist me with the following information related to this issue:

• May I know what exactly do you mean when you say "download messages from 3rd party into Windows Mail"?
• Are you referring to Mail app on Windows 10? If so, are you able to receive any send email via Mail app?

If you are facing issues with Mail app, I suggest
run the in-built Windows Store app troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• 
  Press Windows Key + X..
  
• 
  Click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  On the left pane, click on View All.
  
• 
  Click on Windows Store apps to run the troubleshooter.

Windows 10 messaging app can't send skype messages but can receive them.

This only works a little while and then Messaging mal functions again. It works on my other W10 machine and messages are still shown, but it just can not send messages regardless... very frustrating.

 

Can't send group text or SMS..I don't want to send SMS using any 3rd party app or Groupme

Thank you for your post.

Please try to send your texts with the Group Text feature off by following those steps:

• 
  Open the Messaging app and tap the (...) three dots at the bottom right of the screen.
  
• 
  Tap Settings.
  
• 
  Slide "Group Text" to off.
  

This doesn't disable the ability to send a text to multiple people, it sends the message as normal SMS instead of MMS.
