Windows 10: Microphone is not being recognized by Windows 11

Hello. I just bought a Sony WH-1000xm5 Wireless Bluetooth Headset with Built - In Mic. For the life of me I can't get the mic to work. The headphones work fine but windows 11 for some reason is not recognizing the mic. I did everything short of reinstalling windows. I have been through security and permissions, removed the device and reinstalled it, added the bluetooth again in services, tried the troubleshooters - Na Da - nothing. It refuses to recognize it. I know it's windows because the mic does work with a phone. Please advise.

Headphone Jack does not recognize headset microphone

Hello,

Since a couple days the 3.5mm headphone jack of my computer does not recognize my headset microphone. When its plugged in the audio output works, but it says there is no microphone connected. It does recognize the headphones (audio output).

I already tried all of the following troubleshooting tips:

• The headset works on other devices (Laptop with Windows 11, PlayStation)
  
• Adjusting privacy settings.
  
• Enabling microphone in device manager (however this is not possible because it says its not connected)
  
• Reinstalling the device in control panel.
  
• Updating drives, windows etc.
  
• Other headsets also have the same problem on that port.

You can first try plug your microphone in other device and check if it can be used normally.

Microphone on my Dell pc not working after the windows 11 update

After the windows 11 update my microphone on my pc is not be recognized. I restarted and checked for any and all updates.............. any suggestions?
