Windows 10: Dual boot - Windows boot manager attempting to repair every time I turn the computer on

I have set up a dual boot with Windows 10 and Windows 8.1. Everything is working fine, except that every time I boot the computer up, Windows Boot Manager goes to the recovery/repair screen. It gives this error:"Th application or operation system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or cointains errors. File: \Windows\system32\winload.efiError Code: 0xc000000e"But when I press F9 to choose an operating system, both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 can be selected and both work with no problems. I have no idea what is causing this or what to search for to try to find a solution.

Windows Vista Startup Problem ( Dual Boot)

I've got a dual boot set up on my computer, with Windows XP Professional 32bit & Vista Ultimate 64bit.

I haven't booted into Vista for quite some time now because I get better performance from XP. But now, if I try to boot into Vista, it goes through until after the Welcome screen & just gets stuck on a black screen with the pointer showing.

I have tried repairing the startup using the Vista CD.


Any suggestions?

 

Repairing Dual boot for Windows 10

Hello.

I had installed Ubuntu for a dual boot but ended up deleting it and the partitions. Now when I boot my system a black screen appears with the message:

"Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device completions.

grub> _"



I can get to Windows by typing 'exit'. How can I get rid of these extra steps to starting my computer?

There is another post that already asked about this exact problem but following the directions did not fix it for me (see link below). Is there another way to fix this problem besides booting from an install and typing "bootrec.exe /fixmbr" into the command
prompt?

The error code you're getting might be due to corruption of some boot files which help the Windows operating system to boot or load on the computer. We suggest performing a Startup repair on your computer. It will help to repair the master boot record to
get things up and running again.Kindly check the steps below:

• To access the recovery environment, turn your computer on and off three times. While booting, make sure you turn off the computer when you see the Windows logo.
  
• Once you're in the recovery screen, click on Advanced options.
  
• Click on Troubleshoot, then Advanced options.
• Lastly, select Startup Repair.
