Windows 10: When I look at my photos, the background around them is black, I want to change it to...

As noted above, when I look at any photos on Windows 10, they come up with a big black background around them. I would like to see it with white ... I cannot find how I should / could change it.Thanks

Photos app hogging resources in background

Ian, this suggestion was posted on my other thread:

We understand that not all of users are using the Photos app on Windows 10, if not very often. If you don't want this app to be running on background when not in use, there is a way you can turn this
off. Kindly follow the steps provided below:

• In Cortana, type Privacy Settings
  and press Enter.
• Look for Background apps.
• Look for Photos in the list.
• Flip the switch to Off.
• Restart your computer.

After you restart your computer, you can check if the Photos app is still running in background. You can use these steps to turn off any running background applications as it is not limited to Photos
app alone. In this way, you can conserve a lot of power and process allowance.

I just followed these instructions, and now have to wait to see if it works. I'm hoping it solves your problem, too!

 

Windows 10 default Photo Viewer - png files - Black Background Issues

The issue here is the photo viewer's background is BLACK, hence black png image on black background = 0. I was looking to change the background color of the image viewer to fix this. Is there a way to change it? The photo viewer is working perfectly fine,
they just did not consider the black png on black background.

 

Music App and Photos Hub looked better in Lumia Black



Hi. I want to suggest that the Music app and Photos Hub layout was very well looking in WP 8.1 Lumia Black. Ever since Microsoft updated it to Lumia Cyan the layout has been changed which is not at all looking. Being specific, I am pointing at the Artist
pic background feature in Music app (see the attached photo) which was also visible on the lock screen. Likewise, in Photos Hub you can set a background which has been removed now.

I appreciate the updates Microsoft is making but I don't appreciate the dismissal of such good features which provides Windows Phones an edge over its competitors. The Music app looked beautiful with the artist background pic feature now its all dark background
both in Music and Photos Hub.

I request Microsoft to kindly consider this suggestion and bring this feature back in the latest Windows 10.
