When Windows 11 connects to an external bluetooth speaker, it remains connected. But when streaming audio, it will disconnect after 15mins. This does not happen when streaming audio from an Android mobile.Tried many solution esp Microsoft standard "unchecked" the option 'allow computer to turn off device'.Finally found a post by NaiveElderberry9205/ that works:In registry HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BTHPORT\Parameters\Devices find your device by bluetooth address "Bluetooth device address" property in Details of the main device for the speaker, in the services below that key

Bluetooth Speakers disconnect when trying to play sounds

Dear all,

my bluetooth speaker (older one) keeps disconncting under Windows 11 64bit framework, when trying to actually play sounds and music on it - via Bluetooth (who would've thought).

Here are all the steps that did not solve the issue:

1. Re-pairing the speaker.
   
2. Re-installing the up to date driver (Intel Bluetooth Driver of 1 May 2024, i.e. version 23.60.0.1.
   
3. Changing power settings to disallow my laptop to switch of bluetooth for power-savings.
   
4. Updating BIOS.
   
5. Re-starting the underlying Bluetooth support service, including the change their settings to start automatically.

Bluetooth Speakers disconnect when trying to play sounds

I forgot to mention that it only occurs with the Laptop referred to above. I am certain that this problem is software related, i.e. the Windows 11 framework. I strongly suggest to patch it, as the following also applies:

- the speaker works perfectly with other hardware, incl. Apple/Android cellphones and laptops with Windows 10 OS

- Windows 11 OS recognises the speaker as a screen (why though? It is just a speaker.) as such icon is displayed in the devices list once connection is established (be reminded that the laptop only disconnects when trying to actually USE the speaker as a peripheral device, see above)

- other Bluetooth devices work perfectly with the laptop, i.e. bluetooth headsets

 

Bluetooth Sony Speaker disconnects randomly

Hello,

I've got a Sony SRR-XB13 bluetooth speaker and it disconnects from time to time but it does not properly disconnects as when I go and look up in settings under the bluetooth devices it still appears connected although the bluetooth led on the speaker indicates otherwise. I can connect and disconnect the speaker to my phone without any problems but trying to make it connect again to my laptop is just a big hassle of shutting the speaker down, removing from devices, adding it back to devices just to see that the led on the speaker still blinks as it is not connected.

I recently did a fresh Windows 11 install coming from a dev version of Windows 11 where I didn't encounter this problem even once. Any suggestions, tips and tricks?

I am on Windows 11 Education 22000.376 and I think all my drivers should be a'ight. Thanks in advance!
