Windows 10: What causes a windows 11 PC not to print but a MAC OS machine prints just fine via WiFi?

I have a network printer directly attached to a gateway. Also attached via Ethernet is a Windows 11 computer that will not print to the printer. But a MacOs machine prints just fine on the printer that’s only connected via WiFi on the same network. The Windows drivers must be correct because the printer will print documents queued from the MAC. What can cause a network printer to print from a remote MAC but not from a locally hardwired windows 11 PC?

Mac printing help please?

Here is my situation.

I have a wireless internet connection that lands on a wireless router. My Windows 7 machine and my partners Macbook gets this internet wirelessly too.

This router has 2 USB ports on the side, and I have a HP Deskjet F2180 printer plugged into USB 1. This windows 7 machine can print via the router no worries, but the MAC cannot see the printer at all.
I have tried both the IPP settings, and the LPD settings but neither work. 1 hangs on 'Copying print data' and the other is constantly 'Paused'

Is there something else that I am missing?

Help would be great as the Macbook machine is owned by a teacher, and being able to print would help massively

Printing to a printer shared by a MAC on network

It's possible that the recent update on your MacBook Pro may have changed some settings that are causing the issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:



1. Check if the printers are shared on the network. On your MacBook Pro, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select the printer you want to share, and make sure the "Share this printer on the network" option is checked.



2. Check if the Windows 11 machine is able to access the shared printers. On your Windows 11 machine, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, click on "Add a printer or scanner", and see if the shared printers are listed. If they are, select them and try printing a test page.



3. If the above steps don't work, try resetting the printing system on your MacBook Pro. To do this, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click on the printer list, and select "Reset printing system". This will remove all printers from your MacBook Pro and reset the printing system to its default settings. You will need to add the printers again and try printing from your Windows 11 machine.

Can't print over WiFi, can print wired to network

We have 2 Sharp business networked printer/copiers. I suspect that Windows upgrade 1903 has caused all our Windows laptops to quit being able to print over WiFi. Several Mac OS laptops are able to print fine. Laptops that once could print over WiFi
no longer can. After reading some, it appears that 1903 is my issue. Are there any settings I should look at before backing out of 1903?
