Windows 10: Got a random 0x80240009 error suddenly.. now it's gone?

While installing the recent security intelligence update, I was hit by an error code called 0x80240009, something I never had before and I recently 3-4 prior did a repair installation on my laptop.However retrying windows update seems to worked and the 0x80240009 error vanished, event log shows the error but after that also shows said intelligence update was successfully installed and so does the update history page on windows updateShould I stay concerned or because it resolved itself immediately, I should be calm about it?'I get mixed signals online about what it means, some say it's not c

Default surface apps not opening. Error code 0x80240009

The default apps on Surface pro 4:

Mail

Calculator

One Note

Calendar

Translator

Alarms

are not working. The icon is darked out. I've gone to the store and checked for updates. One Note, Mail and Calendar get updated but the icons are still darked out in the apps. Calculator and translator does not update. It gives error code 0x80240009.

 

Cannot install apps. Error code 0x80240009

I am having the same issue, using a legacy laptop (HP Dv5-1017nr), Windows X (W10, WX, WinX?) is running fine, aside from the error 0x80240009. I have also tried everything suggested, all to no avail. I chalk it up to a new OS, nothing more, can't wait
to get this issue fixed though. Windows X looks great, and I look forward to installing on my desktop later...after this error is resolved.

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
