  1. Dell 5482 bought in 2019 259 GB SSD do I need a new machine?

I am starting to have annoying problems with my PC like Maxing out Ram for seemingly mundane tasks like being in word and searching the internet.[I did a few things like get rid of plugins in word and I also turned off hardware acceleration in both browsers that seemed to help a little]I also periodically find that the white charging light stays on after I shut down. However, I did a diagnostic and it said the battery life was fine. I usually keep it plugged in and use it in the same spot every day and I do not carry it around in a bat and bang it and continually unplug it.However, I am not ev

1TB SSD for Dell Precision 5510 in Sokiwi SSD USB enclosure not seen

Hello everyone. I have a Dell Precision 5510 laptop I bought in 2017 with a 512 GB SSD, running Windows 10 Professional. I'm running out of space on it and have bought a1 TB SSD to replace it. The 1 TB drive came directly from Dell and is a specified drive for my computer. The original 512 GB drive is listed on the Dell website as "Dell M.2 PCIe NVME Class 40 2280 Solid State Drive - 512 GB". The new drive is listed as "Dell M.2 PCIe NVME Class 40 2280 Solid State Drive - 1 TB". I have been using EaseUS Todo Backup (paid home version) for the past year to back up my computer and I have been using a 512 GB Samsung T5 USB SSD for that task, and everything has been working well. I have been able to do the backups without a problem, so I am familiar with the basics of using this software. Now I want to clone the old 512 GB drive currently in my computer to the new 1 TB drive. I've never done this before and based on what I read online and in forums, I bought a USB SSD enclosure. I was careful to make sure the enclosure is compatible with an M.2 NVMe SSD (PCIE-based), and the one I bought is a USB-powered Sokiwi SSD enclosure. I installed the new 1 TB drive in the Sokiwi enclosure per the directions and it inserted fine and the socket configuration was indeed correct. Now, when I plug the USB cable from the enclosure into my USB drive socket on my computer, the drive does not show up in my devices and drives list. The "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the taskbar does show the drive connected to the computer, but I don't know if that is seeing the SSD or just the enclosure itself. So, I need to get the new SSD visible to the computer so I can initiate the disk cloning and I have no idea what I need to do for that SSD to show up as an available drive. I just want to get the data transferred from the old drive to the new drive then I will install the new drive in the computer. Are there other aspects of an SSD enclosure that affect its compatibility with my computer that I should have taken into consideration? Do I need a different brand of enclosure? Help!
