Windows 10: Why is my bluetooth headphones not recognised as an audio device?

I upgraded to Windows11 recently, and for a few days my headphones worked fine. Then randomly it stopped working. Since then, my laptop can connect to my headphones, but it's not recognised in either output or input as a device. I checked bluetooth driver, I checked everything I could. In more sound options, it shows up if the headphones are disconnected, and disappears if I connect it. In All sound devices, I can find my headphones in output not in input, and the Allow button doesn't work, the volume is stuck at 0.My headphones work otherwise, I tested it with other devices. Bluetooth not recognising headphones

Bluetooth on my PC recognises, pairs with and works with an ear piece headphone/mic.
Bluetooth on my Smartphone recognises, pairs with and works with an Ausdom headphone.
Therefore all hardware works.

However, PC Bluetooth will not recognise, let alone pair with, Ausdom headphone.

I have tried re-boots, turning Bluetooth on/off, uninstalling, re-loading drivers, etc. I have run out of ideas.

Any suggestions please?

 

Bluetooth device connected but not recognised as audio device W10

I recently purchased some bluetooth headphones (GLITOBT18). I managed to connect them to my laptop running windows 10.




However, i cant find the device in the playback settings and i therefore cant play audio through the headphones.





I think this may have something to do with the fact that windows is recognising it as a bluetooth headset rather than a speaker? Any help would be massively appreciated!

I'm sorry to know that you're experiencing an issue with your Bluetooth headphone which is not recognized as a playback device on your computer.

Please try the below steps and check the Bluetooth headphone is listing or not.

Right click the sound icon on the computer-> Click sound > Select playback from the pop-up-> Now right click and enable the show disabled device and disconnected device option. Now check the Bluetooth headphone is listed or not.
