Drive formatted on Legacy Win10 system inaccessible on UEFI Win10 system

I'm migrating from a Windows 10 system that is configured for Legacy Boot to a system set up for UEFI Boot. I need to move data from 2-4TB drives to the new system. I purchased 2-12TB drives, formatted them on my Legacy system, copied all the data, and installed them in the UEFI system. When I booted up the system, the new drives didn't show up in file explorer. I opened Disk Management and both drives showed up with a 2TB protected partition and 9TB unallocated.I ran Diskpart, cleaned both drives and created 12TB partitions on both. I brought them back to my Legacy system to copy the data agai

  2. System restore in Win10

I ran into a situation where I think system restore may solve the problem. This desktop system originally came with WIN7 and it was automatically updated to WIN10 quite a while ago. I have used system restore in previous versions of Windows but this is the
    first time using WIN10 restore.

When i go into system restore the screen lists a restore point with the date i would like to use for C: drive. Then it also lists a Recovery drive with the status of The drive is not in the selected restore point.

Above that box is a Warning Icon stating you must always restore the drive that contains Windows. Restoring other drives is optional.

Is there anything to worry about here? I haven't seen the warning message in other system restores in the past.

    Thanks

drive needs to be formatted as GPT but BIOS is legacy and not UEFI

I'm basically having a similar issue where I'm trying install a clean W10 onto my previous SSD and Win10 does see the drives and starts loading but stops whiting a few seconds stating that my drive needs to be formatted as GPT but BIOS is legacy and not UEFI. Perform Diskpart and clean the drive then created a primary partition and it's listed as so but RAW and not NTFS or FAT32? What could be causing this issue. Now Win7 was previously installed onto that drive but should be gone since I perform a CLEAN on it, correct? Thanks

drive needs to be formatted as GPT but BIOS is legacy and not UEFI

Are you sure your BIOS is legacy? Windows setup will only require a GPT partitioned drive if the Windows installation media is booted into in UEFI mode. What did you use to create your Windows 10 installation media with... I'll bet RUFUS?
