Windows 10: The IEMs I got for christmas aren't working. They arent being labeled on the sound settings...

Does anyone know a solution to help me with my IEMs? They are called KZ-ZS12 PRO X. Please help.

Headphones/IEM doesnt show up for in input devices

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue where your QKZ AK6 Pro IEM's built-in microphone isn't being recognized as an input device on your PC. This can be due to several reasons, including incorrect settings, driver issues, or hardware compatibility problems. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help resolve your issue:

1. Check Your Audio Settings: Go to the Sound settings on your PC (you can search for it in the Start Menu). Under the 'Input' section, check if your IEM's microphone is listed. If it is, make sure it's set as the default device. If it isn't listed, try disconnecting and reconnecting your IEM, then check again.
   
2. Enable Microphone Access: In the Sound settings, also check the 'App volume and device preferences' section. Make sure that microphone access is turned on for your apps.
   
3. Update Your Audio Drivers: Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause issues with device recognition. You can update your audio drivers by going to 'Device Manager' (search for it in the Start Menu), expanding the 'Sound, video and game controllers' section, right-clicking on your audio device, and selecting 'Update driver'.
   
4. Check Your IEM's Connection Type: If your IEM uses a TRRS connector (a 3.5mm plug with three rings), it might not work correctly with a TRS socket (a 3.5mm socket with two rings), which doesn't support microphones. If this is the case, you might need to use an adapter that splits the TRRS connector into separate microphone and headphone plugs.
   
5. Contact the Manufacturer: If none of the above steps work, you might want to contact QKZ's customer support for further assistance. They might be able to provide more device-specific troubleshooting steps.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Icons from apps aren´t displayed correctly

Do the apps work fine apart form the icons not displaying correctly? If so I would suggest you to run an SFC scan and check if it helps. If the issue persists you may run DISM command and check.

Follow this steps:

    Press Windows+X.

    Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
    
  • 
    Type the command SFC /SCANNOW and
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and hit
    Enter.
