Windows 10: Game connection keeps dropping wired

Hello all, recently I've stumbled upon an issue recently for my Windows 11 pc which I can't say I've had before. I've noticed when playing games, its almost like I loose connection but not completely. For example I'll be playing World of Warcraft and all of a sudden the game will freeze almost like a latency problem, then it will catch up and Steam will show all my friends coming online like it's just managed to reconnect. Even though there's no physical connection issue according to services like speedtest.net The miniature icon shows the wired connection dropping and the wifi picking back up

Wired Ethernet connection keeps dropping

I just updated to Windows 10 and now my wired connection keeps dropping. Its not the router or the internet because it happened when I was away at school. I looked at other forums but their solutions weren't working for me. Its a pretty new laptop, I just
got it in August. To get the internet to work again all I have to do is unplug the ethernet from my laptop and reinsert it and it works again for a few minutes.

Let me start by saying I have made no changes to the network recently. Out of the blue my desktop started dropping connection. Or at least that is what I will call it. I have a number of computers and streaming devices through the house. Nothing else has been affected. Today my desktop did something it has never done before. It is on a wired network connection and it just quit connecting to websites. The network icon in the systray was normal. No warning symbol. I tried the MS network troubleshooter. Nothing. I tried disabling and reenabling the network adapter. Nothing. I rebooted the computer and everything worked again. At least for a few hours. Then it did it again.

Today it dropped like that 3 or 4 times. Can someone give me some pointers to troubleshoot this?

I suggest you connect your laptop to the router with a ethernet cable. If the wired connection is stable you know that there is nothing wrong with the internet connection itself and with your LAN. Next step would be to go to the website of your laptop manufacturer and look for the latest WLAN drivers. Install them and test whether it improves the reliability of your WLAN connection. Then post back the results.
