Windows 10: Event 125, pre-crash, Critical error 41Kernel-power

Ive just been playing a game when my PC decided to turn off after a few minutes of it working. It was working fine all day yesterday, but before that it was crashing as well. It all was going well until it just randomly black screened. Upon checking event viewer, the last information was event 125, before the critical event 41. Ive tried dusting out my pc before and it stopped the crashes, but now theyre back again. Despite my best efforts to dust it out it still hasnt fixed itself. I tried running windows memcheck, but the system crashes and doesnt boot normally for a while. I do suspect ram

old title:Windows 10 Freezes

I have an HP Envy 13 that came with Windows 10 installed. It worked fine for about the first month and now it just freezes and has to be powered off and restarted regularly.

I searched the event log and got :

Event ID 41Kernel Power as a critical error .

Is that the cause of the freezes and if so how can I fix the problem please ?

While playing NBA 2k24, the game freezes then crashes to desktop. After a few minutes, my laptop shuts down on its own. In event viewer, it shows event 125 kernel power before getting critical error event 41 kernel power. Any thoughts on this? Thank you!

Thanks for the response, yes I found out that the Kernel ID41error was as a result of the fact I have to hard reboot my laptop once it freezes. The real issue is VSS id 8194 critical error that caused the laptop to freeze so your suggestion on how to
fix that woukd be appreciated.
