I've been wrestling with this one for days. Maybe the community can help me.I have an ASUS TUF Laptop - about 2 years old.Any in-place upgrade on my system fails with this error. The system is on 22H2 release, and this failure is identical for upgrade to 23H2 and 24H2.Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 Installed on ‎21/‎03/‎2023 OS build 22621.4317 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1041.0 This is a rolled-back system to the beginning of 2024. After rollback Windows update installed the 2024-10 Quality updates without issue through windows update. System has not been offere

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!

 

Windows 11 Upgrade failing

Hi,

I am struggling to update my ASUS Rog Strix device to Windows 11. My device is generally compatible and the Update is offered through Windows update. The current Win 10 installation is pretty much out of the box as delivered by the vendor + latest Feature Update (21H2) installed (with no issues).

I tried installing both from Windows update and later from an ISO as it kept redownloading the installation files. When installing using setup.exe it fails a few seconds after starting the installation.

What I have already tried:

• Deleting all files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
  
• Uninstalling all ASUS Applications and Services
  
• Permanently removing VeraCrypt system encryption
  
• Running DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
  
• Running the Windows Update troubleshooter
  

I have also gone through the setupact.log file:

Is there anything else I could try? I read somewhere it might be related to the setup not being able to update the partitioning. Could it help to update the partitioning manually before starting the installation?

Upgrade Failing from 23H2 to 23H3

I have a computer that is only about 2 years old, and it is failing to upgrade to 23h2 from 22h2. This is occurring on about 30 computers in the environment, and I suspect it has something to do with BitLocker/TPM/Kernel DMA Protection, but this is all merely speculation. All of the other computers have installed it fine. They are all managed via Azure in a complete cloud environment.

I have 2 log files from the panther/sources folder:

setuperr.log

setupact.log

The error has been occurring for around 2 months.

I have tried:

sfc /scannow
dism scan

deleting software distribution folder

deleting catroot2 folder

restarting a multitude of times

The error is always the same:

0x80070005 = ACCESS_DENIED if I translate it using the Windows error code translator tool.

I am not sure what the "monitoring driver" is.

The other main issue seems to be CONX errors.

I did some research and found that the printhood folder did in fact exist under the Users but nothing was in it.
