Windows 10: but on the Windows program, there is no *, so text messages are not sent.

On my phone, there is a * in front of the number, but on the Windows program, there is no *, so text messages are not sent. I used it for a long time without any problems, but 2 days ago, the * in front of the number suddenly disappeared. Was there an automatic update? If so, can I revert to the previous version? Is there a solution? Please help me. It is so inconvenient because text messages are not sent.

locating text and email messages sent

Sent texts are in the list of message threads. For email, go to folders and select 'sent'

 

Text message is not sent

I have a windows 8.1 mobile phone. There are times I can not send text messages. Most of the time I do send text messages successfully and when I do I receive a message saying that the message was sent. But there are times the text message is not sent.
I don’t know why this happens. I suppose it has to do with the settings but I do not know. Any help would be much appreciated.

Turn off sent text message notification?

By default, any time you send a text message you get a popup notification that the message sent successfully. How do you turn off that notification? My text message threading program already tracks sent status without a popup.
