  1. how to turn off parental consent after deleting the family group

I've been getting "parental consent needed" pop-ups when trying to log in into my microsoft account and every time I log in there is more and more till I can't acces my account. From what I know the family group has been deleted for atleast like 3 years, I can't change my account info beacuse apparently my last name isn't correct. Apparently my microsoft acces will be locked on 1st of january 2025. What do i do?

    :)

  2. How to confirm parental consent

Hi! I received an email from what looks to be Microsoft Family Safety that says I need to log into my account to provide parental consent for one of my kids. Since you can never be too safe these days with unsolicited emails, I logged into my Microsoft account on my own, not through the link in the email, but I see nothing in my account or family account asking for parental consent. The email says my child's account will be suspended, and then permanently deleted if I don't confirm consent in the next 2 months. If this is real, where do I confirm parental consent?

  3. Parental consent on an account that's not in a family.

I recently left a family to switch my account to a adult account. However, when I open certain applications, I still require parental consent. Can someone help me fix this problem?

    Delete family group:

    Dear Jason Mock1

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.

In all honesty, we would suggest that the fastest solution for you would be to re-register for a Microsoft account and then join your daughter's family group. That way you can get up and running with MICROSOFT365 as soon as possible.

Back to the family group issue, if you are the organizer of another family group, it would be a good idea to notify the other members of the group that the group needs to be disbanded, and then delete the other members in turn from the main family account screen. Finally, dissolve the family group.

If you are a member of a family, but not the organizer, you can leave the family group if you are an adult account, or if you are a minor, you will need to be removed from the family group by your organizer.

So, frankly speaking the family group feature is not perfect at the moment and sometimes the above steps may not be possible due to server logic. You may want to sign up for a new Microsoft account and wait until the family group feature is stabilized before joining your daughter's family group with your original account.

We hope the above information helps you

    Best Wish
