Windows 10: "let windows improve start and search result windows 11" re-enables

This optIon keeps re-enable itself after I restart my PC. Does anyone know why?

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.

 

Disable Web Search Results in Windows 10 Start Menu

Disabling web results in the search box depends on the version and build of your Windows 10. We suggest checking the Windows 10 version and build installed on your computer. To check the version and build, follow the steps below:

• On Cortana search, type winver and press
  Enter.
• A pop-up box will appear containing the version and build of your operating system.

Meanwhile, you can try these steps on how to disable web results in the search box:

• Click the search box in the taskbar.
• Select the Notebook icon

• Click Settings from the list.
• In the Settings page, turn off the Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts and more option.
• Also, turn off the Search online and include web results option.

I notice that you still have the link in Settings > Accounts > Your Info to Sign in with a Local Account Instead. One way to troubleshoot possible account issues including inability to Verify is to change to the Local Account and then change back to the MS Account. This will often force Verify to work, and solve other possible Account problems, too.

If those all don't help then there are still the steps I gave which normally work to fix Search. So go ahead and try everything in sequence until something works and you get your web searches back in Windows Search. Until then you have a web search in every browser you can configure with the Search service of your choice:
