Windows 10: Bluetooth audio not working

I have been using my bluetooth airpods maxs for a few years now, and I have never had a problem with the bluetooth until recently. Today, when I tried to connect the headphones to my computer, the audio stopped working completely. I tested the headphones with my phone and other devices, and it works completely fine. However, when I try to connect it to my computer, the headphones just show up as "connected" on my bluetooth, whereas before, it would show "connected, audio". I have tried troubleshooting many times, even tried updating and uninstalling/reinstalling the audio drivers. Nothing has
