Windows 10: Gaming pc. high latency. good download and upload speed.

I have a custom built pc with a 3060 rtx graphics card that has always run great. Out of nowhere about a month ago I started experiencing high ping fluxuations that will last all over my pc and not just when I am running a game. I will run 0 ping for 5 seconds and then jump up to 300 for another 5 seconds, then that will repeat over and over again. My download and upload speed are still normal and im not sure why only my ping is bad. No one else on the same wifi network as me experiences the same problem and I think it's something wrong with my computer. IS there any possibl4 diiagnosis you h

Slow upload speed over high latency network and high bandwidth

hello there,

I am using windows 2012 server, where one of my application is replicating data to DR-node, getting slow upload rate.

I have 2Gbps wan link with high latency around 500ms

looking to tune TCP/IP parameters so i can utilize my complete 2gbps link.

server is not able to send data because of latency it just dropping speed, even i tried to send data using CIFS share but nothing worked

 

Windows 10 WiFi Network Latency and Upload/Download Speed Issues

I've noticed that since I upgraded to W10 on my Dell Tablet I've run into Network Latency issues and wild variations in my upload/download speed tests (Network Speed Test App from the Store).

I am not experiencing this problem with other laptop PCs (W8.1) or W10 Smartphones connected to the same WiFi network.

I updated all my device drivers from Dell.

Anyone experiencing this problem or have a recommended solution?

 

storport.sys high latency

High DPC (Deferred Procedure Call) latency can indeed cause the issues you're experiencing. The `storport.sys` driver is related to storage port I/O, and high latency in this driver can lead to system freezes and audio glitches.

As suggested by LatencyMon, disable any CPU throttling settings in the BIOS. This includes settings like AMD Cool N Quiet and Intel Speed Step. These settings can sometimes interfere with real-time performance. Back up your important files in advance, just in case.

You can also check SATA Ports. Some users reported that moving their SSD to different SATA ports on their motherboard helped reduce latency. If you have other drives connected, try disconnecting them and see if the issue persists.

In addition, high-performance power plans can sometimes help reduce latency issues. Go to Control Panel (You can search it in Start menu) > Power Options and select a high-performance plan.
