    Dear Microsoft Support Team, I recently purchased a new laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i and began setting it up with Windows 11. During the initial setup process, I mistakenly entered a date of birth 2012, which the system accepted without any warning or restriction. However, after completing the setup and starting my work, the system locked itself and requested parental consent. This behavior is unacceptable for the first administrator account on a brand-new device. The system should prompt an error immediately during setup if the entered age is under 18, instead of allowing the process t

    • When you say ‘Age/date of birth question on setup’, are you talking about the age/date of birth information requested while setting up a Microsoft account?

    Unable to update the birth date of the administrator in windows 11

    I have created the microsoft account and entered my daughter's date of birth who is minor .As a result I am able to download the google chrome but while launching the google chrome

    it is saying "that due to family setting restriction" we cannot allow you to do the same"

    There is only one administrator and that is my daughter .Since she is minor everywhere it is saying the same message .

    How can I create one more administrator and delete my daughter as administaror. Due to her age I am not able to launch application.

    I am using acer and OS is Windows 11.

    Through settings:---accounts:--edit profile, I tried but Birth date is non editable.I need the help on an urgent basis....

    Change my date of birth on microsoft profile

    Hi Alex,

    To change the date of birth on your Microsoft Account, you can follow the steps below:

    • Sign in to
      Your info       on the Microsoft account website.
    • Click Edit your personal info.
    • Select the correct date of birth, and then select Save.

    If the birth date on a Microsoft account says that it belongs to a child, there are different steps to take in regions that regulate what children can do online. You can check this
