game bar broke what fixed it was just doing the reinstall windows 11 repair which is in recovery just hit the reinstall it should preserve all your apps and **** but God dam it took way too dam long to figure this out im only postin this cause i could not find **** that said this could fix it.

Windows 11 broke gaming on my computer and I cannot fix it

I updated to Windows 11 two weeks ago and I have been facing issues when playing games ever since. Problems were practically nonexistent before updating but I am suffering from:

• Input lag happens all the time.
  
• Extremely low frames per second. On games where I could see the FPS it did not ever go higher than 20. Infrequent freezes.
  
• Audio cuts out frequently. A horrendous crackling noise plays occasionally.
  

I have tried literally everything suggested on the Internet and the issues still remain. Terrible performance, lag, nothing changes every time I try. I have:

• Uninstalled and reinstalled the games
  
• Lowered graphics to the lowest settings
  
• Cleared unused apps on my computer
  
• Repeatedly shut down and restarted my computer
  
• Updated drivers
  
• Cleared caches
  
• Enabled and disabled Game Mode
  
• Disabled Transparency
  
• Disabled Xbox game bar
  
• Used regedit
  
• Scanned for viruses
  
• Scanned for corrupted files using command prompt
  
• Downloaded Empty Standby List
  

Nothing is working. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?

 

Fix Windows 11 Game Bar (2023)

Here are the repairs that work most to fix Game Bar and Game DVR:

1 ) Do you know when this started? If so see if you can System Restore to a point before the problem started: How to Use Windows 11 System Restore Point (4 Ways). This will also undo the regedit if necessary.

System Restore is your first line of defense and can take you back to a point before a problem began like a time machine. If it doesn't help then you can undo it. Read about it first in the tutorial above and then try restoring to just before this started. If System Restore is not enabled on C drive do that now so it's available in the future.

If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.droidwin.com/how-to-stop-only-a-specific-update-from-installing-in-windows-11/

3) If nothing else works then uninstall all Xbox apps in Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, restart PC, then reinstall them from Store app > Library.
