Windows 10: SATA Drives extremely slow after upgrade from 10 to 11, while NVME is fine

I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 only two days ago. Most of my drives are fairly new and showing no issues, yet 3/4 of them are now abysmally slow, all of which are on SATA. Here are my drives and the change in speed:C = NVME, no changeD & F = SATA SSDs 2tb Crucial, from 150mb/s write to 30F = HDD 4tb WD Black, from 100mb/s write to 10Could the update have screwed up my SATA controller? Is there something with bitlocker that could cause this and be fixed?

I am happy to inform you that replacing the SDD fixed the issues. I am now writing at 60MBs with a queue length less than .05 running backup of the Windows 11 NVMe SDD drive C to a local SATA drive. It is weird that the original SDD just slowed itself down without logging any errors. It also picked a time when I had just upgraded to Windows 11.

M.2 upgrades from Crucial: SSD upgrade NVMe, SATA You don't need to buy a drive from them, but it's clear that your Y700 can use NVME drives. NVME M.2 drives are more common than SATA these days, so that widens your choices.

 

Windows 10 crashing after installing a NVME

i removed the nvme in hopes windows can reinstall to my old sata drive, do you want me to put in the nvme drive and take out the sata drive then check the boot priority list?
