Windows 10: Windows Modules Installer Worker Crash Blocking Updates After Upgrading to 24H2 and Stuck...

I am facing persistent crashes with the Windows Modules Installer Worker on my system, resulting in failed cumulative updates and an inability to upgrade my Windows build. The issue started since my upgradation to 24H2, when TiWorker.exe stopped working with a critical error referencing cbscore.dll. Since then, I have been unable to apply updates, leaving my system vulnerable and outdated. Updated gets installed, then gets stuck at 40% while PC is restarting. Then it undoes the changes showing the message "Something didn't go as planned."Here is the error detail captured from th

Windows Modules Installer Worker slowing performance?

Can somebody give me some suggestions on the Windows Modules Installer Worker?

I noticed a slow down of the laptop performance (after the latest Windows Update). In looking at Task Manager, I saw that the Windows Modules Installer Worker was taking a lot of resources. I did a search and found out a bit about the (TiWorker.exe Windows
Modules Installer Worker).

I downloaded and ran the Microsoft Safety Scanner, without results.

Anybody has had the same or similar issue?

Windows Modules Installer Worker - high CPU usage

The Windows Modules Installer Worker is a background application that checks for new updates from the Windows server and install them in your computer. It's task takes high usage of CPU that causes load on the system especially when Windows Update is running.

We recommend that you check the following first:

• if your device is running the Scheduled Automatic Maintenance
• if the Windows Update is running and installing

Windows Module installer worker  with high cpu

On a Windows 10 PC, the CPU fan sometimes runs very fast and makes noise because of Windows Module Installer Worker occupies more than 50% of the CPU.

Let us isolate the issue by changing Windows update to manual mode. Follow the steps below and see if it helps:

• Press Windows key + R and type services.msc.
• Search for Windows Modules Installer.
• Double click the Windows Module Installer.
• Change the Startup type to Manual.
• Go to Settings and select Update &
  security.
• Click on Windows Update.
• Click on Advanced options and change Automatic (recommended) to Notify to schedule restart.
  
• Reboot your PC.
