Windows 10: Adobe files taking extra steps to open & can't save them. Why?

Hopefully, somebody online has a fix for the issue I am having with my Adobe Acrobat pro 11 version. I recently bought a brand new laptop Lenovo LOQ AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS and it came preinstalled with Windows 11 Home 64-Bit edition. I can open and close and save the Excel and Word documents we use for work with no problems after I installed my Office 365 onto the laptop, but I am having trouble with folder selecting and Adobe especially. Here's the problem. When I click on an Adobe file on our shared server, it doesn't open if I hit "Enter" to open the file. Instead it just sits there. I have t

If you want to open File Explorer to your C: drive without any registry tweaks, you'll need to do so from a shortcut you create.

1. Open File Explorer to This PC.
2. Right-click Winndows (C and select Create Shortcut:

opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?
