Windows 10: Filter keys turning on automatically with a sound causing keyboard typing wrong letters

My laptop is turning on its Filter Keys setting without being asked to do so. Or at least that is what it sounds like based on the description online.This has the effect of reversing the Caps Lock key, which puts small text in all caps and vice versa. It also makes it impossible to type a period because this key appears instead: > A similar problem happens when I try to type a comma, resulting in this key: <Other keys also similarly are mistyped as the keys that would appear if I hit the Shift key. • Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.

Keyboard is typing the wrong letters

My Logitec K350 keyboard works fine when I plug it into my laptop. When I plug it into my desktop and search on Google, try to shop on Amazon, etc. it produces the wrong letter when I press on a few of them.

Same letters, same results. I am typing just fine on the Microsoft help page, but can't when I am on the internet. What is going on?

Filter Keys are part of the Ease of Access features in Windows 10 that can help users control the keypress repeat rate and ignore the repeated keys. This setting can be disabled by following these steps:

• Click Start.
• Type Control Panel and press Enter.
• Click Ease of Access.
• Click Change how your keyboard works.
• Click Set up Filter Keys.
• Uncheck Turn on Filter Keys when right SHIFT is pressed for 8 seconds.
• Uncheck Turn on Filter Keys.
• Click Apply.
• Click OK.
• Restart your computer.
