Windows 10: Screensaver photos showing but I can't find them in my files

I set up the screensaver to show rotating photos, but they are showing photos that I can't seem to find in my files. Some of the photos I thought I had lost and would desperately love to find them. However, I've searched everywhere on my computer and can't seem to find them anywhere. Any thoughts on where to look?

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

 

Photo Screensaver not displaying file location

I have many sub folders of photos, all listed by date, on my desktop. Many years ago, in another version of Windows, the file location would show on each photo as it shuffled on my screensaver. This would be especially helpful now that our children are
grown and have grandchildren....Photos pop up and I wonder what year they were taken. It appears that again, Windows does not offer this feature. Does anyone know something different? I would love to have that feature again.

Usually the screensaver has the settings to change the size of the photos shown.

Personalisation>Lockscreen>Screensaver settings click on the screensaver you’re using & choose settings/options & change size (if listed) to 100%.
