Windows 10: When HDMI is connected to my tv the volume goes low then goes back to how it was. Help please

When I connect my HDMI to from my HP laptop to my tv the volume starts out regular then it goes low then it goes back to regular and goes low again. I really don't know how to fix this. Sometimes it'll do it twice and then the audio will be fine and remain regular but most times the audio just goes from regular to low regular to low. Any help will be appreciated please.

PC to TV through HDMI

Hi,

Have you tried to reconfigure your audio settings? If not, try to change your audio output settings to HDMI by following the steps below:

• Press Windows ( ) key + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click Hardware & Sound.
• Click Manage Audio Devices.
• Select the HDMI device listed under the Playback tab.
• Click Set as default and click Ok.

Also, we suggest to update your audio driver.

I can understand the situation must be difficult for you when the system doesn't work as it should.

1. What is the make and model of the laptop and the TV?
   
2. Are you aware of any changes made to the laptop or the TV prior to this issue?
   
3. Are you able to connect to a different TV using the same HDMI cable from the same laptop?
   
4. Are you able to connect to the same TV from a different laptop?
   

Suggest you to follow the suggestion provided by ‘Pawan
Dhondiyal’ from this thread to check if that makes any difference.

TV resolution goes down when connected to PC using DP/HDMI connection

• I have a Windows 10 Lenovo T440 laptop, which I have connected to a TV using a display Port to HDMI connection.
  
• The TV is a Samsung 55" 1080P LCD TV.
  

Now, as soon I connect the devices and extend the display from my laptop to the TV, it drops the resolution of the TV to 640 * 400 and does not give me any option to upgrade the resolution. How can I solve this problem?
