Windows 10: The last product key numbers can't be used on this copy of windows.

I have deregistered my windows on my current PC and grabbed the product key through the regedit way. But when attempting to use it on my new PC it gives the above error message. Is a copy of win10 bought on the MS store ages back and totally genuine.I tried through control panel signing into my account, but it wont work, it ask me for me password, then goes to a "sign into this computer using my microsoft account" / "we need your current windows password one last time" and AGAIN asks me for the password... except this time, it says it is wrong. wth do i do to activate it on new PC?PS there is

So outside starting a trial you can buy Office 365 or provide a "Product Key" the "volume licensed" product to be activated. So "if" you have a "volume licensed" copy of Office 365, you will have to deal with the owners (business organization) of that account to which that copy belongs to - What determines which product keys are associated with my agreements?

Here`s the link to contact MS support - Contact Us - Microsoft Support! Click on MS 365 and follow the instructions. In the end you`ll be connected to a live agent. You can ask them why your MS 365 is coming up asking for a Product Key Activation Number. They will tell you that version of MS 365 is an expired trial version. To move forward you have to purchase an Product Key Activation Number. NavyLCDR is right, digging in your computer for a PK# will just come up with the same result. Don`t believe everything you read online about being able to shaft the system, it can`t be done. MS 365 has to be registered to a MS account to use. All info is stored there. even if you do not have a MS account, when you purchase MS 365 they automatically create one for you upon Purchase, Verbatim Via MS rep! So I would suggest moving on and paying the $69 for personal. or $99.98 for Family.
